Why people who talk about their ambitions may be less likely to achieve them
From TED Talks: After hitting on a brilliant new life plan, our first instinct is to tell someone, but Derek Sivers says it's better to keep goals secret. He presents research stretching as far back as the 1920s to show why people who talk about their ambitions may be less likely to achieve them.

No multi-tasking at TED Talks
From Scoble:
"They’ve asked me to not bring my computer or phones to the main sessions and just absorb the TED experience.
Chris Anderson, the guy who runs TED, spoke at LeWeb a year ago and walked into the audience and told them all to close their laptops and listen, he really believes that we can’t learn if we’re multi-tasking and paying attention to email."
TED Curator Chris Anderson introduces the TEDx program.
